Rick Hanushek on Remedying the Achievement Gaps from School Closures

Large achievement gaps existed for disadvantaged students long before COVID-19, but school closures only served to magnify them even more. The early results from remote learning are disheartening. Remedying the loss in learning from remote schooling will require more flexibility when it comes to building a better teaching force.
