I believe that disunity is dangerous for democracy by first starting off in the wrong direction. There is no secret that we all have different values and principles that we hold dear, but in order to make the most out of the country, we need to be able to look at different viewpoints. This doesn't mean for you to agree with everything another side has to say but to have an intellectual conversation is important for the first steps.

This is dangerous for democracy and causes friction between parties. Our form of government requires cooperation with competition. Disunity creates mistrust, breaks loyalty, and causes division among the parties. Disagreement is ok, as this form of discussion makes our form of government work. We can have deterrent ideas between us before we finally compromise.
