If we successfully lift supply-side restrictions on healthcare providers, this would probably help grow the burgeoning “direct primary care” industry, which might have a beneficial fiscal effect for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services as many Medicaid-eligible patients may choose to forgo the low quality and wait times of Medicaid providers in favor of DPC.
