Increases in cost may create either awareness or resentment. Often for the 30% trapped in poverty or our older citizens, increases in inflation or pricing often leads simply doing without. Citizens are often unable to afford to insulate or replace heating, cooling or appliances or light bulbs for more efficient ones. In these situations, without government assistance it becomes more and more difficult to meet the necessities of daily living.
